JUAN LUIS' BIO

Juan Luis was born in Santiago, Chile.  He attended the Catholic University of Chile and graduated with a B.S. degree in civil engineering.  After working for a year as an associate researcher at the PUC, Juan Luis moved to Madrid, Spain, where he obtained a post-degree in engineering. Once he finished his studies in Spain, he moved back to Chile. Then he moved to the United States to attain his M.B.A. at the University of Texas at Austin. In 1999, he was appointed Finance Manager of one business of GE Energy, based in Santiago, Chile. Then he took another role at GE as a Corporate Controller for the Southern Cone Countries of Latin America, based in Santiago. In 2006, he moved to Mexico City to work as the Latin America Head for Finance Planning and Analysis with GE Capital. In 2010, he moved to Citibank as Regional Director of Portfolio Management for the consumer business in Latin America. In 2013, he moved to Miami to lead the Customer Centricity initiative in the same region. In 2018, he accepted and moved as CFO for VectorGlobal Wealth Management Group, a company operating in 11 cities in Latin America, Miami, New Jersey, Houston, Toronto, and San Diego. In 2022, Juan Luis returned to work at Citi, based in Miami.

 

Additionally, Juan Luis was an investor in a Real Estate project in Chile; he worked with his partners to develop an extensive network of vendors in China.

 

Juan Luis brings significant experience in the region, with more than 20 years of relevant finance and risk, with robust multicultural exposure in large and mid-size companies with an entrepreneurial approach.

 

Juan Luis is married to Paola, and they have three children: Maria Jesus, Ignacia, and Jose Pablo. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and traveling.
