Oversaw the Finance Risk Infrastructure group ensuring consistent information delivery to influence executive-level decision making. Coordinated data and analysis of credit, market, and operational risk in the region. Managed multiple businesses inclusive of consumer, ICG, CCB, and PB with a total regional exposure of approximately $130B. Created and executed a dashboard identifying emerging risks, defining estimation models for early performance indicators utilizing macro-economic and market metrics. Collaborated with US regulators to produce quarterly presentations, in addition to driving monthly analysis with senior risk leaders, and bi-annual presentation with the company’s Risk Officer.

 

Latam Risk Director, Head of Customer Centricity Initiatives, Scoring and Infrastructure, 2013 to 2016

 

Facilitated a cross-functional team to transition from a product-oriented to a customer-centric approach. Designed analytics based on total customer behaviors instead of just products. Estimated key metrics by segment including P&L, economic capital, Basel metrics, and key return metrics. Realigned processes properly reflecting the focus on affluent and emerging affluent segments. Drafted P&Ls at the customer level to determine best bundle consisting of ROA and return on risk capital performance.

Guided the process to calculate and define loan loss reserves for the consumer business. Perform analysis of business performance risks, together with risk capital and other risk appetite measures. Identified and communicated a link between the 14 countries in the region and New York. Completed key risk metric reports to senior leaders including periodic ad hoc reports. Led five annual planning sessions and stress tests for CCAR.
